"Our client for the K280 was an American who was looking at putting her into production in China. He needed 6 -foot headroom, a comfortable and volumous interior and performance under sail".

All this was achieved, though we would have preferred a tiller steering set up rather than the wheel and pedestal which was a 'have to have' item on the wish list. You can't get it your way all the time.

All the plans were finished and the Chinese yard had built the moulds, and one complete boat, but a falling out between the yard and the client stopped all further progress. A shame as this would have been a great entry level cruising yacht for a young family who wanted to go coastal or lake exploring.

Full plans are available. Modifications can be made to suit individual requirements.
